The Economics of iQ LOOP — Measured Against Diesel and the AlternativesClean energy systems are not adopted because they are clean. They are adopted because they make commercial sense. iQ LOOP is designed to compete on the one metric that decides whether a large energy user will engage: the cost of firm, dispatchable power.



The benchmark is diesel. For remote sites, backup duty, and peak-demand periods, diesel remains embedded because it is reliable and deployable, despite being costly, carbon-intensive, and exposed to volatile fuel prices. iQ LOOP's target is direct: deliver dispatchable power at least 10% cheaper than diesel, with predictable pricing fixed over several years. For large electricity users, that second point carries as much weight as the first. A few hours of peak demand each weekday set the tariff a customer pays across the following year, so reducing those peaks reshapes a full year of energy economics, not just a costly afternoon.


Against compressed hydrogen, iQ LOOP avoids the expense and complexity of pressurisation and transport. Against batteries, it offers a transportable, non-degrading store that is not tethered to the grid. The proposition is not that iQ LOOP is a cleaner machine. It is that iQ LOOP lowers the bill, and the cleaner outcome comes with it.
